The Hong Kong China Network Security Association participated in AWS Security Day 2024. Mr. David Ip, the Founding Chairman of the Association, was invited to be the guest speaker

On July 30th, AWS Security Day 2024 was held at the Cordis Hotel in Hong Kong. Entitled “Defending Against Advanced Cyber Threats: Leveraging AI & Machine Learning.” In addition to providing insights into the AWS security ecosystem, the event focused on how leading companies should use artificial intelligence and machine learning to protect critical data assets, detect and respond to complex cloud-based attacks, and explore how to address increasingly complex security challenges including the enlargement of the striking surface, the proliferation of ransomware, and the ever-changing regulatory compliance rules. The conference featured keynote speeches, technology demonstrations, and roundtable discussions, providing a platform for organizations and industry leaders to network and learn from each other.

As a pioneering force in the field of cyber security, the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA) was honored to have its Founding Chairman, Mr. David Ip, as a guest speaker at the conference. Together with HKCNSA's Vice-President, Mr. Wilson Tang, they joined the event and communicated with leaders in the industry. They have an in-depth analysis of the latest cybersecurity threats in the age of artificial intelligence and share both cutting-edge technology and practical strategies. Contributing to the build-up of a more impenetrable network security defense.

Mr. David Ip, the Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong China Network Security Association, delivered a speech at the conference, deeply analyzing two recent cases, namely “Potential Risks of Cyber Security in the 2024 Paris Olympics” and “Oxfam's Cyber Attack”. The two cases both revealed the critical situation in cybersecurity nowadays and put forward the best practices for Hong Kong and even the world to cope with the threats of cybersecurity. It is believed that the talk provided valuable references and inspiration for the conference attendees.


Looking ahead, HKCNSA will continue to deepen communication and cooperation with all stakeholders to meet the challenges in the field of cyber security. With unremitting efforts to build a more secure, reliable, and prosperous digital world, we will be able to create a new chapter in network security protection and guard the security and privacy of every piece of data.
