HKCNSA visited the OGCIO to discuss cybersecurity talent development

On February 26th, the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA) visited the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) to discuss talent cultivation in the field of network security. The discussion was led by Mr. David Ip, the founding chairman of the HKCNSA, and included in-depth exchanges with Mr. Kingsley Wong, Deputy Government Chief Information Officer, Mr. Daniel Cheung, Assistant Government Chief Information Officer (Cybersecurity & Digital Identity), and Mr. Simon Siu, Chief Systems Manager (Cybersecurity).

During the meeting, both sides discussed talent cultivation, raising awareness, and market services. HKCNSA plans to strengthen cooperation with educational institutions, enterprises, and other organizations to jointly develop and implement talent cultivation plans, stimulate young people's interest in network security, enhance their professional skills and qualities, and deliver more outstanding talents to the industry. Additionally, HKCNSA will strengthen public and corporate awareness of network security through various cybersecurity activities and training programs, creating a safe and stable online environment. Furthermore, HKCNSA will closely monitor market trends and technological developments to provide targeted network security services to meet the growing demand in the market, providing comprehensive network security support to its members and the wider community.


This exchange not only strengthened communication and cooperation between the two parties in the field of network security but also further promoted the development of the industry. Both parties expressed their commitment to maintaining close contact and working together to address network security challenges, contributing to building a safer and more stable online environment.
