On 15 March, HKIB Cybersecurity Solutions Day 2024, organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) and co-organized by the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA), was successfully held at HKCEC. The event brought together industry experts to share insights on leveraging AI, helping attendees create resilient digital infrastructure. Led by chairman Mr. David Ip, several HKCNSA representatives attended the Solutions Day to discuss strategies for dealing with cyber threats.
During the event, Mr. Philip Kam, Chief Institute Development Officer of HKIB, delivered a welcome speech. He shared that experts would provide insights on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance operational resilience, equipping Chief Information Security Officers and security experts with the latest AI tools and technologies. With support from global cybersecurity vendors, the exhibition area showcased cutting-edge AI-driven cybersecurity solutions and best practices.
Mr. Frank Chow, Individual Member of HKCNSA and Vice-Chairperson, Professional Information Security Association, had an in-depth discussion with other industry experts on the theme " The Cyber Threat Landscape and Things that are Shaping the Future of Cybersecurity". They shared key insights gained from recent significant cybersecurity breaches and explored AI-driven cyber threats and trends. Additionally, they focused on the application of next-generation DDoS protection and intrusion defense solutions, sharing practical experiences in this field to provide new perspectives and references for attendees, to address cybersecurity challenges.
Mr. Harper Zhang, Senior Product Manager of H3C, a corporoate member of HKCNSA, delivered a speech on the topic of " An In-depth Analysis of the Ransomware Threat Landscape: Strategies for Future Defense". He discusses ransomware attack trends, attack methods, and how to build effective defense mechanisms and countermeasures to help enterprises strengthen protection against ransomware.
