The Hong Kong Talent Service Office also set up a booth at the event, inviting industry experts to share job-seeking strategies and providing consultation services to help job seekers better understand market demands.
During the networking session at the recruitment fair, David engaged in in-depth discussions with Mr. Jeffrey Lam Kin-fung, Member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong and Mr. Hon YIM Kong, Deputy Chairman of the Economic Development Committee at Legislative Council. They focused on the upcoming critical infrastructure legal framework, which is expected to have a profound impact on Hong Kong’s cybersecurity environment. The Association looks forward to this framework further enhancing industry standards and ensuring information security.
Additionally, David emphasized that Hong Kong is facing a severe shortage of cybersecurity professionals, a challenge that has become increasingly prominent with the acceleration of digital transformation. Government departments, universities, vocational training institutions, and industry associations should collaborate to address this challenge through enhanced training, optimized talent development pathways, and attracting overseas professionals back to Hong Kong.
