HKCNSA participates in PwC's HackADay cybersecurity conference to build an intelligent future

On November 7th, PwC successfully hosted the 7th Annual HackADay Cybersecurity Conference with the theme of "Securing AI." The event focused on potential security risks and vulnerabilities related to artificial intelligence, covering key topics such as AI governance, data privacy, and regulations related to protecting AI. Led by the founding chairman of the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA), Mr. David Ip, and the two vice presidents, Mr. Joe Yip and Mr. Wilson Tang, a number of association representatives attended the event to discuss the latest trends in artificial intelligence with cyber security industry professionals.

At the event, guest speakers provided in-depth explanations on topics such as artificial intelligence and the new security environment, cybersecurity transformation, and AI threat assessment. They introduced how to use Microsoft Security to defend against constantly evolving security threats at machine speed and scale, emphasizing the need for defense measures to keep pace with technological developments in order to protect the security of enterprise data and systems. In addition, during the group discussions, participants explored the role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity from various perspectives, including data processing, best practices for cloud security, and network detection, while emphasizing the importance of establishing effective regulatory mechanisms and technical standards to ensure the safe and compliant application of artificial intelligence in the field of cybersecurity. Furthermore, cybersecurity experts also cautioned participants to remain vigilant against new threats that AI technology may bring, such as the combination of artificial intelligence with cyber-attacks like phishing and malicious software.

In the future, the HKCNSA will continue to promote the development and advancement of cybersecurity, strengthen collaboration with experts from various fields, and work together to address the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, contributing to the robust and sustainable development of cybersecurity.
