On November 27th, the Alibaba Cloud Hong Kong Summit 2024, hosted by Alibaba Cloud and supported by the Hong Kong China Network Security Association (HKCNSA), was successfully held at the Kerry Hotel in Hong Kong. The summit, themed "Empowering a Sustainable Future through AI-Driven Innovation Platforms," showcased how AI and cloud technologies drive continuous innovation. The event featured multiple keynote speeches and panel discussions covering topics such as innovative applications of AI technology, future developments, and risk management. It also highlighted customer insights from the Greater Bay Area, best practices from the 2024 Paris Olympics, and Gen AI solutions introduced by Alibaba Cloud experts.

Mr. David Ip, Founding Chairman of HKCNSA, attended the event to show support and served as the moderator for the thematic introduction. During the panel discussion on "Emerging Cybersecurity Threats in the Age of AI," he, along with Mr. Baron Chan, Superintendent of Cyber Security and Technology Crime Bureau (CSTCB) at Hong Kong Police Force and Mr. Paul Tsang, Senior Product Solution Architect, CISSP at Alibaba Cloud Security Product Solution Department, explored new cybersecurity challenges and response strategies.

During the panel discussion, the guests discussed topics such as trends in cybercrime in Hong Kong, cloud technology for preventing cyberattacks, new cybersecurity challenges brought by the rapid development of AI technology, and preventive measures. Superintendent Baron Chan shared cases of cybercrime in Hong Kong, while Mr. Tsang introduced cloud protection technologies such as anti-DDoS and WAF. The guests pointed out that the continuous advancement of AI technology leads to updated cyberattack methods, necessitating enhanced cybersecurity awareness. They recommended strengthening identity management, regularly assessing security status, adopting adaptive AI solutions, and emphasized the importance of red and blue team exercises for network protection.
