On August 23-24, the large-scale professional exhibition hall "The Belt and Road Software Pavilion (Hong Kong) 2024" jointly organized by the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation and the Computer Industry Association was successfully held. This major professional expo is part of the "Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival 2024". Mr. David IP, the founding chairman of the Hong Kong China Network Security Association and several members of the association attended the exhibition and witnessed the top technological innovations in the industry with guests from around the world.

This year of “The Belt and Road Software Pavilion (Hong Kong) 2024” will focus on eight major themes - Intelligent Government Affairs, Workflow Optimization Solutions, Technology Risk Management, Large Model Software Generation/ Generative AI Applications, Text/ Graphics Intelligent Identification and Processing, Intelligent Operation, Data Analytics Tools/ Platforms, and Cyber Security Protection. It will bring together 120 top software companies from Hong Kong, Mainland China and other Belt and Road Initiative regions to showcase their software products, as well as innovative technologies and solutions.
In addition to the display of cutting-edge technologies, the expo featured thematic forums, with AI, Cybersecurity, and Smartcity being the highlights. During the Cybersecurity panel discussion, Mr. Alex Chan, HKCNSA member, General Manager of the Digital Transformation Division at the Hong Kong Productivity Council, served as the moderator. Mr. Fuller Yu, Senior Advisor of HKCNSA, invited as an expert in cybersecurity, participated in the discussion.
Mr. Fuller Yu explored the critical topic of "Build a Smart & Secure City - from Cyber Security to Cyber Resilience." He and other industry experts discussed the challenges and opportunities in building smart cities, sharing innovative ideas and practical experiences on enhancing cybersecurity and resilience. Their insights offered valuable guidance for the sustainable development of smart cities.

This expo served as a professional platform for showcasing R&D achievements, strengthening industry capabilities, promoting IT upgrades, and facilitating regional and international cooperation. It was a significant event for the software industry in the Belt and Road region. For HKCNSA, it was not only an excellent stage to demonstrate its deep expertise in cybersecurity but also a valuable opportunity for in-depth exchanges and collaboration with industry leaders. Through participation in discussions, the association actively contributed its knowledge and solutions, providing important perspectives for building smart, secure cities.
Looking ahead, HKCNSA will continue to align closely with China’s "Belt and Road" initiative, upholding the spirit of practical cooperation. The association will deepen collaboration with government agencies, the business community, and academia, working together to bring China’s advanced cybersecurity technologies and products to the international market and contribute to the global cybersecurity governance framework.
