On November 15, the Hong Kong China Network Security Association successfully hosted the first Cyber Career Workshop at the Fujifilm office in Hong Kong. This inaugural event featured valuable career insights from two Hong Kong senior CISOs: Mr. Wilson Tang, Vice President of the association、Co-Owner & CISO at HKBN and Ms. Silvia Ihensekhien, Group CISO of Swire Coca-Cola. They shared their experiences with invited members who are seeking jobs or considering career changes, discussing the prospects and challenges in the cybersecurity field.
As global cybersecurity threats continue to rise, the career prospects in this industry are expanding, with increasing demand for skilled professionals and competitive salaries. However, the cybersecurity sector in Hong Kong faces challenges such as talent shortages and rapid skill evolution. Mr. Tang and Ms. Lam explored career development paths, employment skills, and talent needs, sharing successful career development cases within the industry to provide valuable insights for attendees.
