On September 26th, HKCNSA China Cybersecurity Week Luncheon was successfully held at the Renaissance Harbour View Hotel in Hong Kong. The event was honored to have guest speakers from the Digital Policy Office, the Cyber security and Technology crime Bureau of Hong Kong Police Force, and Beijng Shengxin Network Technology. Numerous experts and practitioners in the field of cybersecurity gathered to discuss hot topics and current trends in cybersecurity during the China Cybersecurity Week.
The luncheon began with a welcome speech by Mr. David Ip, Founding Chairman of HKCNSA. David expressed sincere gratitude to all sponsoring companies and participating guests for their enthusiastic participation and extended warm congratulations on the 75th anniversary of the founding of China. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the significance of national cybersecurity on this memorable day. He further pointed out the critical role of National Cybersecurity Week in raising public awareness of cybersecurity and promoting the vigorous development of the cybersecurity industry. He encouraged attendees to take this opportunity to strengthen communication and cooperation with industry experts to jointly promote the development of the cybersecurity industry.
Welcome Speech by Mr. David Ip
At the event, Mr. Raymond Lam, Chief Superintendent of Cybersecurity and Technology crime Bureau of the Hong Kong Police Force, elaborated on the importance of national cybersecurity and the severe challenges it faces. Through specific cases and detailed data, such as the large-scale loss incident caused by remote attacks on pagers, he demonstrated the seriousness and complexity of cybersecurity issues. He also mentioned specific measures taken by Hong Kong to address cybersecurity threats, such as establishing early warning mechanisms, strengthening law enforcement, and intercepting external attack information, calling on individuals and relevant departments to pay more attention to cybersecurity.

Additionally, Mr. Michael Chan, chief systems Manager (Project Governance and Cybersecurity) of the Digital Policy Office, introduced the establishment of the Digital Policy Office and its work in promoting Hong Kong’s digital economy and enhancing government efficiency. He also emphasized the importance of cybersecurity, detailing the office’s specific measures in the areas of digital government, data governance, and digital infrastructure, including staff training, policy guidelines, social promotion, and international cooperation. Michael encouraged everyone to actively participate in cybersecurity activities to jointly promote the development of cybersecurity.
Keynote Speech by Mr. Michael Chan
Mr. James Cui , Co-founder&Vice President of Beijng Shengxin Network Technology, highlighted the company’s leading position in endpoint security and cloud security. He mentioned Shengxin’s business expansion in mainland China and Hong Kong and emphasized its cooperation with research institutions and government departments. James also introduced Shengxin ’s core products and technical concepts, particularly the Adaptive Security and Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), and expressed the hope to establish connections with Hong Kong enterprises and institutions to jointly promote the development of cybersecurity.
