On September 8, 2023, the Network Security Sub-forum of the “in.clusion” summit was held in Shanghai. The forum was co-hosted by Ant Group and "Information Security Research" magazine, with the theme "Opening the Native Security Paradigm, Safeguarding Cybersecurity." Mr. David Ip, the founding president of the Hong Kong China Network Security Association, was invited to attend the event and join other experts and scholars in exploring important topics in network security.
Mr. Wei Tao, Ant Group's Vice President and Chief Technology Security Officer, delivered a keynote speech at the forum. He stated that Ant Group has condensed the "Native Security Paradigm Framework v1.0," which mainly consists of two security paradigms and one technological innovation. The two security paradigms are referred to as OVTP and NbSP. OVTP ensures traceability and evaluability of sensitive network operations, avoiding authorization vulnerabilities, while NbSP, similar to airport security checks, prevents attackers from bypassing security checkpoints through covert channels. The technological innovation is the "Security Parallel Plane Technology" system, which provides efficient method systems and underlying platforms for modern digital organizations.
Mr. Wu Yunkun, Deputy Director of the China Electronics Science & Technology Committee of MIIT and President of Qianxin Group, delivered a keynote speech in which he believed that security protection systems have three key elements: constructing an endogenous security system, embedding security mechanisms throughout the data lifecycle, and building an operational security system in real combat scenarios.
During the forum, Mr. David Ip, the founding president of the HKCNSA, presented the association's certificate of appointment to Mr. Gu Weiqun, an Ant Financial cybersecurity expert, at this forum, who will serve as the director of the Association's Financial Technology Security Standards Committee. In addition, Mr. Ip had the honor of meeting the Director-General of the National Information Office and his team, and the two sides briefly exchanged views on compliance and authentication issues. He also expressed his anticipation of visiting Ant Group's headquarters in the near future to engage in deeper discussions and cooperation with partners in Beijing.
Through this forum, experts and representatives from various parties jointly conducted research and shared experiences, promoting the development and innovation of the field of network security. Moving forward, HKCNSA will continue to devote itself to the formulation and implementation of network security standards, promote cooperation and development in network security, and maintain the security and stability of cyberspace.
